Saving Throw: +2 bonus to Warding.
Examine Magic: Magicians can read and write the language of magic. 10 minutes of study and a successful study throw reveals the vague function of a spell or magic item.
Learn a Spell: If a written spell is closely studied for one day, they may learn it on a successful warding saving throw. On a failure, that spell is beyond their comprehension and cannot be learned until the next level.
Prepare Spells: At sunrise, a magician can prepare a number of learned spells equal to their [magician level]. Only one instance of a spell can be prepared at a time.
Name Level: Upon reaching 9th level, magicians earn the title Magus.
